A few years ago, while R&B star Keyshia Cole was dating hip-hop mogul Birdman, she found another woman at his house and accused him of cheating. However she didn’t stop there, instead she physically attacked the woman and now she is being sued for millions as a result.
In between Keyshia Cole’s separation from her estranged husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson and Birdman’s current relationship with singer Toni Braxton, the two dated each other briefly and it didn’t end well, which is where the lawsuit is stemming from. In 2014, Cole allegedly physically assaulted Sabrina Mercadel after she found her at Birdman’s L.A. home and now Mercadel has moved forward with a lawsuit containing her physical and financial damages.
Keyshia Cole put a serious hurting on the woman she accused of banging Birdman … at least according to the woman who’s now demanding $4 million to cover a slew of alleged injuries.
Sabrina Mercadel is now laying out the full extent of her damages (financial and physical):
– $1.5 mil, pain and suffering
– $500k, emotional distress
– $2 mil, loss of use of body part
– $200k, future medical expenses
– $50k, loss of earnings
– $300k, future loss of earnings
Sabrina was also suing Birdman’s building, however she’s since dropped the pad from the lawsuit. She also insists her relationship with Birdman was “platonic.”
At press time, Keyshia Cole has not commented on the lawsuit, but she is gearing up for the fourth season premiere of Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood where she joins the cast full-time.
