Brandon Thompson, 35, was celebrating his birthday, which is the same as Independence Day, at his mother’s residence as police officers showed up to arrest him.
Police officers noticed him earlier in the day from outstanding felony warrants out for his arrest and followed him to where he recently began staying.
While being handcuffed, Thompson asked the officers if he could propose to his girlfriend, after getting asking his mother to get the ring.
Thompson said he’s tired of running from the law and he’s ready to turn his life around. This story is on the other side of the policing spectrum that we haven’t seen enough of lately.
