The Prince George’s County Health Department has provided a training for a limited number of Faith-Based leaders in the county on Balance and Restorative Justice, also known as BARJ.
BARJ offers an alternative to traditional punitive and retributive approaches to conflict resolution with youth and young adults in the community.
BARJ offers offenders an opportunity to make amends, and for victims to speak and be heard on the harm done to them as well as to received healing from a choreographed interactive meeting with BARJ trained facilitator.
