It’s been a year since Desmond’s new neighbors moved next door. Since then Desmond and his wife have both heard the 10-year-old boy getting beatings by his father on the regular and it has them concerned. Desmond understands that kids need discipline but they’ve heard the young boy screaming for mercy at least 5 times already.
The boy does play outside and otherwise seems like a normal kid but after a bad beating last weekend, Desmond wonders if he should call child protective services. Tonight Desmond is asking; should he get child protective services involved or should he just mind his business all together?
