Rihanna is coming to the small screen.

It was revealed by A&E Network during San Diego’s Comic-Con that the Bajan beauty will be playing “Marion Crane” in their series Bates Motel. The role was originally played by Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho —who made the shower murder scene, a horror classic.

Rihanna confirmed the news with an Instagram video. “Hello, Comic-Con, its your girl Riri and let me tell you what a bad bitch is about to do,” she says in a quick clip. “I’m about to check into the Bates Motel very soon. And what else? Guess who’s playing Marion?,” as she points to herself.

For the fifth season of the show the producers wanted to switch things up for the long-awaited character entry.

“We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way,” executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin said in a statement. “We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate.”

We can’t wait to see Rihanna kill the role. But in the meantime, fans can see her on the last leg of her Anti World Tour in Europe and in Philadelphia for the Made in America Festival.
