This week the #TuesdayNightFlashback is time traveling back to the year 1991 by featuring several songs from that year to help you get there. This playlist will begin at 8pm tonight and you can go to our Facebook page ‘Love And R&B with John Monds’ to leave your best memories and song requests from 91′, and you can also get a jump start on tonight’s scenario.

Here’s a trendsetting video that took over the dance, pop, and R&B charts in 1991 with a new style of mixing hip-hop beats, R&B vocals, to create dance/house music. Before this song was featured in many movies and TV series of today, C+C Music Factory came under scrutiny for using the vocals of disco/house singer Martha Wash, but featuring group member Zelma Davis in the video lip-syncing Martha’s vocals. Martha Wash sued and eventually settled out of court with Sony Records for unspecified damages.
