R. Kelly is one of the most successful and polarizing R&B singers of all time.
He’s also been accused of questionable behavior. And while there have been dozens of allegations, he has never been convicted. He has also refused to address the allegations, even though they’re public knowledge.
Yesterday on during an interview on Huff Post Live the singer walked out when asked whether allegations about his past, have affected his album sales.
If you’re a fan, Kelly’s talent is undeniable. His behavior however, is difficult to reconcile, as it is for former business partners:
“Kelly’s former manager Barry Hankerson once wrote a letter to Kelly’s lawyer in which he said their client needed to get help for his sexual compulsion toward underage girls. The husband of Kelly’s former publicistRegina Daniels told Los Angeles radio station KJLH that Kelly had “crossed a line” with the couple’s daughter.”
It’s a fascinating balancing act for Kelly and his fans. The new album “The Buffet” is in stores now.
