Patti LaBelle is getting ready to give us all a good scare as she joins the cast of “American Horror Story: Freak Show”!
Could “AHS” get any more awesome? Apparently so! This casting has given “AHS” fans even more reason to tune in next season!
E! News reports that Miss Patti will appear on four episodes of FX’s hit horror show, playing Gabourey Sidibe‘s mom. Even though she’s just got a recurring role, Patti’s part is going to be central to the plot as she uncovers the secrets of a murderous clown that’s come to her hometown. It’s not clear if Angela Bassett will be returning to the show.

The story line will be set in 1952 as the show explores the nation’s last traveling Freak Show, and the act is a wee bit darker than most. This setting also has some potential to touch on the topics of racial inequality along with the main plot. There could be some interesting parallels!
This couldn’t be any more perfect, but sadly Patti may not be belting out any tunes this season. Still her addition to the cast alone may be enough to get the jumpiest member of #TeamBeautiful to tune in!
