As “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” comes to an end, I have found a new TV show to keep me entertained, E!’s “Botched.” Not since “The Swan” has plastic surgery been this fun (and emotionally jarring) to watch.

You may have heard the chatter about “Botched” or even seen video clips online that feature people (and celebrities) who have spent thousands of dollars on plastic surgery only for the procedure to go terribly wrong. In some extreme cases, patients were left with medical equipment still inside their bodies, upside down breast implants or a belly button that looks like a vagina (it totally happened).

But not even the craziest botched surgery is too outlandish for Dr. Paul Nassif (appeared on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”) and Dr. Terry Dubrow (except that one time that woman wanted to reverse her eye westernization surgery). Together they’ve built a plastic surgery empire on their combined expertise. Which is one of the most impressive aspects of “Botched.” Their profound skills make watching painful surgeries durable.

Now that you have the background story, here’s why I can’t stop watching the addictive show:

5. Patients Like Janice Dickinson

Supermodel Janice Dickinson was one of Dr. Dubrow and Dr. Nassif’s more difficult patients on the show. Between her spoiled attitude and past addiction to prescription drugs, her case presented a significant amount of obstacles. In case you aren’t familiar with Janice’s boob job–she suffered from ripples in her cleavage and could feel small particles moving around by her old implant bag. Not to mention she was OVERDUE for a new set of implants because her’s were ancient (we’re talking like 30-years-old). When the doctors began surgery, they not only noticed that her implant had slightly ruptured, but she removed her drainage cup and some of her bandages so she could touch her stitches. Chile, she was a mess!

“In my twenty-five years of being a board-certified plastic surgeon, Janice is by far the most difficult patient I’ve ever had,” said Dr. Dubrow. “She is her breast’s worst enemy.” Janice isn’t the only character on “Botched” who’s attitude nearly ruined her surgical experience, which makes the reality show that much more entertaining!

4. This Dude Who Wants To Look Like Justin Bieber

By now, you’ve probably seen the screen grab of Toby Sheldon gazing into the clouds as he waxes poetically about Justin Bieber. The kid seriously wants to look like him and has spent over $100,000 on plastic surgery to do so. But, Sheldon isn’t alone. There are hundreds (maybe even thousands) of people who undergo extreme amounts of surgery to look more like their favorite celeb.

Justin Jedlica has had over 150 surgeries, including bicep implants, triceps implants, pectoral implants and shoulder implants to look like a human Ken doll. Don’t believe me? Just watch…

3. Looking At Botched Plastic Surgery Is Like Watching A Train Wreck

“I’m half pig,” isn’t a phrase you hear often, yet “Botched” is filled with ridiculous one-liners as such. From the woman whose tummy tuck resulted in her vagina resting abnormally high on her belly to the woman whose breasts implants had formed a uniboob, “Botched” is full of train-wrecks. There was one guy who had a silicon implant placed in his head that stretched out his skin just so he could get rid of a scar that he got having hair implanted in his balding scalp. Yikes! However grotesque the procedure (and they show it all), “Botched” is simply fascinating. It’s incredible what the human body can endure and what lengths people will go to attain a certain image.

2. The Surgeons Are Funny & Very Talented

Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow are hilarious. Their chemistry is undeniable and it makes certain consultations with clients easy to digest (as well as making their patients feel comfortable). While Dr. Nassif is a bit more reserved, Dr. Dubrow brings out his partner’s inner goofball. It’s pleasant to watch.

1. It’s A Tear Jerker

Aside from the ridiculous requests from fans trying to look more like their favorite celebrity, “Botched” also covers patients who’ve encountered traumatic experiences. Recently, Cynthia, a young breast cancer survivor shared her story on “Botched” and reminded us that plastic surgery isn’t just about vanity. Sometimes people get plastic surgery to fix a medical problem.

After Cynthia had a mastectomy, doctors placed an expander in her left breast to stretch the breast to the size of her right boob. However, she had no nipple and sought reconstructive surgery to make her breasts look more “symmetrical.” The surgery didn’t go as planned and she was left with a deflated left breast. Cynthia felt self-conscious for years until she finally visited Dr Dubrow, who gave her brand new breasts and her life back! Stories like Cynthia’s tug on your heart strings and remind you that life can change in the flash of an instance.

Watching “Botched” is an all-around experience and I tune in every week to see what stories will unfold. Peep “Botched” every Sunday at 10:30/9:30c on E!
