Rev. Al Sharpton talks about ‘The Central Park 5′ , the 1989 rape and assault of Trisha Meili. Five black men were convicted of the crime after they were coerced into confessing to the crime.
The men served from six to twelve years in prison, but were released and awarded $40M from the city of New York for false imprisonment.
“We cannot have a justice system where evidence doesn’t matter and the police can stick it to anybody,” Sharpton said.
