Virginia state Sen. R. Creigh Deeds (D-Bath) was stabbed multiple times early Tuesday in an assault at his house in Bath County, west of Charlottesville, Virginia State Police said. The senator’s 24-year-old son, Gus Deeds, was found fatally shot inside the home.
