Children who don’t have a regular bedtime may have more trouble behaving at home or at school. This finding from a British study is based on information about the sleep and behavioral problems of more than ten-thousand kids. The researchers found children without a regular bedtime scored worse on behavior issues like getting into fights or being inconsiderate of others. Behavior scores improved when kids started going to bed at a regular time. A sleep specialist recommends calm activities like a bedtime story and avoiding TV watching when it’s getting close to a child’s bedtime.
