(Cleveland, OH) — October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and studies have shown most deaths from breast cancer occur in unscreened women. Doctors say early detection is key. The American Cancer Society recommends getting your first mammogram at age 35, then a yearly mammogram at age 40. It’s also critical to do self-exams. Doctors say the best time to do them is three-to-five days after your cycle.
