(Washington, DC) — The barriers came down at the World War Two Memorial in Washington, DC. What was called the “Million Vets March” converged yesterday on the memorial where veterans and others removed barricades that have been up during the partial government shutdown. It was a protest over the closing of monuments and memorials. Some of the demonstrators then headed to the front gate of the White House to continue their protest.
