The family of slain D.C. middle school principal Brian Betts will receive friends and well-wishers at a public service Wednesday afternoon.
The service will be held at the Pierce Funeral Home at 9609 Center Street in Manassas, Va. from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A private funeral and burial service will be held Thursday.
D.C. Public Schools are also planning a public memorial for Betts.
It will be held Saturday, May 1 at the Cardozo Senior High School auditorium, starting at 11 a.m.
This service will be open to anybody who wishes to attend. DCPS will also be hosting two private services for the Shaw Middle School community.
