(Washington, DC)  —  The “Washington Post” has reached a deal to sell the paper to the founder and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.  “Post” CEO Donald Graham says the sale comes as a shock to many people.

According to the “Post,” Bezos will pay 250-million dollars in cash.  Bezos will reportedly keep the deal separate from Amazon, and will be the sole owner of the newspaper when the sale is complete.  Over the past six years, the “Post’s” newspaper division, the biggest part of the company, has had a nearly 50-percent decline in operating revenue.  The Graham family has owned the “Post” for the last four generations. .”
