Music legend Prince is keeping his name in the news without even trying, but has the icon ever really had to? Prince recently performed at the Southwest Music Conference and Festival, referred to as SXSW in Austin, Texas this past weekend. However, Prince has become the subject of a new book titled “I would Die 4 U: Why Prince Became an Icon.” The book named in reference to just one of the singer’s many hits, lists a number principles that are ideal for those aspiring to follow in the singer’s footsteps. The book’s author and journalist most notably featured on MSNBC, VIBE Magazine, and BET to name a few Touré, discusses multiple aspects of Prince’s life, music, and career in the book. He also analyzes Prince’s influence and relatability to youth in comparison to other legendary icons of his time. The book has been officially released.
