As a radio/tv personality and personal stylist, I have two demanding careers. In retrospect, I spent the majority of last year like a pinball–bouncing from one job to the next and trying to squeeze life in whenever possible. I made a promise to myself to never spend another year without being in control of my time and my goals. I recently took a week off to press reset and find my Zen. During this time I got centered mentally, organized my home, and devised my POA (plan of action) both personally and professionally.
Part of “finding my Zen” included a trip to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Just a stone’s throw from the DC area, this natural gem is a great and relatively inexpensive getaway from the fray of urban living. Clean air, gorgeous views, and impressive natural caverns will help you refocus on what really matters in life. I have committed to travelling and exploring interesting areas as much as possible but, Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park will be my hideaway close to home.
Here are a few photos from my trip. My advice…No matter how busy you are, always make time for YOU!
