(Bethesda, MD)  —  Metro will hold a public forum tonight to discuss its 2013 budget plans, which include the possibility of fare hikes.  The transit agency says its “open forum” will get underway at 6 p.m. and a public hearing will be held afterwards at 7 p.m. at the Bethesda Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.  Other meetings will follow in the days and weeks ahead.  Metro’s Board is expected to act on the FY2013 budget in June.  The one-point-six-billion-dollar budget includes a proposed 53-million-dollar increase in funding from local jurisdictions and 66-million in increase revenue from fares.
