One Monday out of the month, My Majic 102.3 will host a New Music Monday listening party that will feature an artist that has been featured online and has received the most votes.
If you would like to be featured on My Majic’s New Music Monday please send your song in an MP3 format, your photo, your bio, contact information and a link to your music artist page to Ksmith@radio-one.com with ‘New Music Monday’ in the subject line.
This week’s featured artist is Groove Skool Band.
Bio:
Groove Skool is a collaboration of outstanding, multi-faceted musicians who all share a love for smooth jazz music. The band was formed in April of 2006, and agreed that the chemistry and sound were of a quality never before experienced in prior solo and group endeavors.
Over the past few years, Groove Skool has continued to transition and round out their original sound, which consists of smooth and traditional jazz, rhythm & blues, funk, soul and rock influences. The group has composed more than a dozen original songs, and has completed the recording of its first studio album, entitled Limited Edition. Through its transition and growth, Groove Skool has brought a uniquely adult-urban, musically versatile flavor to the smooth jazz scene.
