(Washington, DC) — The DC area will be under another Code Orange air quality alert today. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments issued the alert ahead of what is expected to be a hot and humid day with poor air quality. Those in sensitive groups like younger children, the elderly and people with asthma or heart disease should avoid strenuous outdoor activity tomorrow.
