(Fairfax, VA)  — The Fairfax County urban search and rescue team is now in Japan.  The 72 members of Virginia Task Force One are being directed to hard-hit areas with about 75 tons of equipment as well as 6 search and rescue dogs.  The team also includes doctors, paramedics, and structural engineers.  The Fairfax team uses special cameras and listening devices to find people who may be alive under earthquake debris.  It was most recently deployed in Haiti last year.
