President Obama will take an extra day of vacation in Hawaii, returning to the White House next Wednesday.  The President delayed the start of his Honolulu vacation by five days because Congress was still in session.  The lame-duck congressional session proved to be beneficial to him, however.  Congress repealed the controversial “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” law and the Senate approved the START nuclear treaty with Russia.  It also passed a compromise tax-cut extension measure.
