Kim Kardashian has posed dead in a coffin in a new ad for Alicia Keys’ “Keep A Child Alive” organization. Kardashian is promoting “The Digital Life Sacrifice,” an internet campaign in which stars will quit social networking sites to raise money for charity. Kardashian, as well as Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Serena Williams, Swizz Beatz, Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga, will sign off the sites and not log back in until 1 million dollars has been raised.
They have filmed ‘last tweet and testament’ videos which will appear in ads showing them in coffins to represent what the campaign calls their digital deaths.
“We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?” Leigh Blake, president and co-founder of the charity, said.
