(Washington, DC)  —  It was a violent night for DC Police, who have four separate shootings to investigate.  All told, seven people were shot, two people are dead, and many others are in critical condition.  The first three shootings happened within about 45 minutes of each other.  It started just after 9 p.m. when two men were shot in the 12-hundred block of Brentwood Road in Northeast.  Later on, a man was shot and killed in the backyard of a home in the 700 block of Quincy Street, Northwest and two people were shot in the 900 block of Walher Place in Southeast.  A couple of hours later, two more people were shot on the 700 block of Yuma Street Southeast.  One person was pronounced dead at the scene, the other rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
