On Wednesday, June 24, 2015, the DC VA Medical Center marked it’s 50th anniversary of caring for our nation’s veterans with a beautiful outdoor ceremony. Among those honored were WUSA 9‘s Bruce Johnson and Majic 102.3‘s own April Watts. Army Major General Jeffrey Clark, Director, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, delivered the keynote address and the Navy Band provided entertainment.
Congratulations on 50 years of giving our nation’s veterans quality care! The DC VA Medical Center’s staff truly has a heart for veterans. Special acknowledgement to Gloria Hairston (Office of Public Affairs and Community Relations) and Brian Hawkins (Medical Center Director).
