(New York, NY) — Young adults who watch a lot of television are putting their hearts at risk. A study at the Maastricht University of the Netherlands suggests 30-somethings can suffer stiffer arteries, a sign of likely heart disease in the future. Epidemiologist Isabel Ferreira says it predisposes people to develop hypertension in later age and cardiovascular disease. The research is published in the “British Journal of Sports Medicine.”
