(Washington, DC)  —  Witnesses to the deadly shooting at the Washington Navy Yard won’t have to endure furloughs if the government has a partial shutdown.  The “Washington Post” cites a Navy official as saying everyone who was at the Washington Navy Yard on that day will be exempt from furloughs.  Thousands of government employees face unpaid time off if Congress can’t agree on a funding measure by midnight.  An investigation into the deadly shooting carried out by Aaron Alexis on September 16th continues.
