Stevie Wonder is using his legendary status to stand for what he and many others believe is right. The iconic artist has announced that he will not perform in the state of Florida. After hearing the verdict in the Trayvon Martin case and the news of the George Zimmerman acquittal, the singer said he would not perform in the Sunshine State until its Stand Your Ground law is “abolished.”

“I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,” Wonder said Sunday while performing in Quebec City. “As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world.”  —  Wow!… What do you guys think about that?!

There will be a lot of states upset by the decision Wonder has made but just as he stated, he is determined that he will not perform in the state of Florida or any state that holds true to the Stand Your Ground law.
