(Washington, DC)  —  Metro says iPhones account for a majority of the items stolen on the transit system.  The Apple phones comprised 67-percent of the items taken from passengers in the first three months of the year with nearly 100 iPhones stolen on Metro trains and buses.  According to the “Examiner,” Metro says overall, the number of items stolen was down compared to the same time last year, but many of this year’s robberies were accompanied by fear, force, violence or weapons.  Metro officials say they’re looking for ways to combat the robberies.
