Reebok has decided to drop Rick Ross’s endorsement deal after pressure from rape survivors.

The biggest boss faced a lot of criticism for his lyrics in U.O.E.N.O., in which he explains a situation that looks a lot like date rape. The rapper’s “apology” wasn’t received very well by women’s group Ultraviolet.

The group started a petition demanding Reebok drop the artist, which was signed by over 70,000 people. The petitioners made it clear that until Reebok dropped Ross, they would be condoning rape. The company released the following statement to TMZ:

“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
