I hope you remember the story of Brian Banks. If not, he was convicted of rape as a 16 year old and spent 5 years in prison. Banks was also a football player who had a full ride scholarship to play ball for USC. The classmate who claimed he raped her sued the school district and won over a million dollars. She apparently had a conscience, as she came forward to tell the truth.
Sporting News reports that the linebacker will participate in Atlanta’s offseason workouts with a chance to resume his career. Banks has been trying to get back into football since he was cleared on May 12, 2012, of the rape conviction.
