Personally, I don’t like cruises.  I refer to them as shot clock vacations.  You get to a port, where you may be having a great time, but you’re always looking at your watch or asking what time it is.  Why?  Because the ship will leave without you.  They have a schedule, something I rebel against when I’m on vacation.  I have other reasons, like the time we took a Christmas cruise.  The weather was terrible.  It was cold or rainy the whole time.  The weather was so bad, we couldn’t even make the stop in Jamaica that I was most looking forward to.   That also happened to be the year the Tsunami wreaked havoc on the other side of the earth while we were on board our cruise.  Then there was the ship that sank as the captain was trying to impress friends on land by getting close to the shore and numerous fires that have caused vacations to end early.  I have a feeling the people on board the stranded ship in the Gulf of Mexico may feel as I do when they finally get home.

Huff Post reports that passengers aboard the stranded Carnival Triumph cruise ship are facing increasingly dire conditions, several news outlets reported on Wednesday.

“Elderly and handicap are struggling, the smell is gross,” Ann Barlow texted from aboard the ship, according to ABC News. “Our room is leaking sewage.”
