Word on the Hill is those ‘Fiscal Cliff’ negotiations got real!

Speaker of the House, John Boehner, (R-Ohio), and Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, (D-Nevada), have never been bosom buddies, but as the deadline to avoid going over the cliff came into view, and Boehner apparently began to accept that President Barack Obama didn’t plan on blinking twice on taxes, his frustration got the best of him, reports Politico.

Reid accused Boehner of running the House like a “dictatorship” and caring more about his position than compromising to avoid throwing the nation into recession.

Boehner’s reply was political cinema at it’s finest.

“Go f— yourself,” Boehner sniped as he pointed his finger at Reid, according to multiple sources present.

Reid, a bit startled, replied: “What are you talking about?”

Boehner repeated: “Go f— yourself.”

Asked to confirm Boehner’s exchange with Reid, Boehner spokesman Michael Steel replied, “I’m afraid we’re not commenting on that.”
