New Year’s is a generally a slow day. It feels so good to sleep in and rise to enjoy a leisurely breakfast while the TV is on whatever channel. My back was to the screen when I heard Al Roker talking about the Deltas, as in Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and their float in the Rose parade. I had to stop and watch, even though I’m not a Delta, it was proud moment because it was obvious these ladies put a lot of time, money and effort into their presentation entitled “Transforming Communities through Sisterhood and Service”. I have to say wow, ladies job well done. The Deltas will converge in DC this July for their centennial celebration at Howard University.
