I met Chuck and Flava while working in Philadelphia back in the late 80’s while working in Philly.   In one of our conversations, I asked Chuck how he  would gauge his success in the music business.  He didn’t talk about money, big houses, cars, or anything like that.  He said he would look at his passport and let that speak for how well he did as an artist.  I have a feeling that some 20 plus years later, those many passport pages will tell the story he anticipated, worldwide success and the admiration of his peers not only in the rap game, but music in general.  His passport will not be required for admission into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to which Public Enemy will be inducted along with blues man Albert King, disco queen Donna Summer, and the great Quincy Jones.  Congrats Chuck,  it’s an honor well deserved.
