Four More Homey!!
I was late arriving to the One Vote Election Viewing Party, but I still had the chance to get it in. I arrived at B. Smith’s sometime after 10pm and my heart skipped a beat when CNN had Romney in the lead. I immediately ordered a glass of merlot to calm my nerves. The food was great! In true DC Girl fashion, I opted for fish and seafood menu selections. The Lobster bisque was good but the salmon crepes were amazing. I even sampled my sister’s shrimp and grits which were delicious.
The crowd was in great spirits even with Obama behind in electoral votes. When it was announced that our Commander In Chief would serve the US for four more years, the place went wild. DJ Flava dropped Ain’t No Stopping Us Now by McFadden and Whitehead and we commenced to act a fool. Okay, I can’t speak for anybody else but, as you can see from my photo with the cardboard cut out, I acted a plum idiot. :) Dancing, singing, hugging…It was the best time ever!
Congrats to President Barack Obama for being chosen, once again, by the people of this great nation. #2terms #4moreyears
