Below is  a complete list of school and government closings for Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia:

Government offices:

Federal government — Closed Tuesday. Non-emergency employees will be granted administrative leave; emergency employees are required to report to work. Employees should telework if possible.

D.C. government — Closed Tuesday. Will be open Wednesday.

Federal courts of appeals for the D.C., second and third circuits — Closed Tuesday.

D.C. Courts — Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Maryland state offices — Closed Tuesday. Emergency essential personnel should report as scheduled.

Alexandria government facilities and courts — Closed Tuesday.

Arlington County government offices, libraries, courts, community centers and nature centers — Closed Tuesday.

City of Fairfax government offices and facilities — Closed Tuesday. (However, the General Registrar’s Office will be open Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for absentee voting as long as conditions do not become too dangerous.)

Loudoun County government offices and courts — Closed Tuesday.

Montgomery County government offices — Closed Tuesday. Essential personnel must report for work.

Prince George’s County government offices and courts — Closed Tuesday.

Early voting in the District and Maryland — Canceled Tuesday. Early voting centers in Montgomery County to reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Early voting hours will be extended from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, with all centers open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Early voting in Virginia – Polling places in Accomack County, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, Fauquier County, Loudoun County, Tazewell County and Wise County are closed, but early voting is open in most of the rest of the state.

Calvert County government offices — Open Wednesday.

U.S. District Court for Maryland — Open Wednesday in Greenbelt and Baltimore, with proceedings resuming as scheduled. Jurors are advised to call the court after 5 p.m. for updates.

Schools:

D.C. Public Schools — Closed Tuesday. Will be open Wednesday, though a few schools may remain closed. In the event a particular school isn’t able to open Wednesday, a listing will be available on the school system’s website.

D.C. charter schools — Several closed Tuesday. Here’s the full list.

Alexandria City Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Arlington Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Fairfax County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Loudoun County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Prince William County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday; code red for employees.

Baltimore City Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Calvert County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Howard County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday.

Montgomery County Public Schools — Closed Tuesday. All schools and administrative offices will be open Wednesday, October 31st.

Prince George’s County Public Schools —Closed Tuesday. All schools will be open Wednesday, October 31st.

Colleges and universities

American University — Closed Tuesday.

Catholic University — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

Corcoran College of Art and Design — Closed Tuesday.

Gallaudet University — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

Georgetown University, Georgetown medical center and Georgetown law school — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

George Washington University — Closed Tuesday; facilities services staff should report to work. Will open Wednesday.

Trinity Washington University — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

University of the District of Columbia — Closed Tuesday. Essential personnel should report for their normally scheduled hours.

Marymount University — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

University of Mary Washington — Closed Tuesday.

Montgomery College — Closed Tuesday.

University of Maryland — Closed Tuesday. Will open Wednesday.

Transportation:

Metro rail, buses and MetroAccess — Metro will restore limited bus and rail service on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with normal service expected to begin Wednesday morning. Metrorail and Metrobus will both operate on Sunday service levels Tuesday, while MetroAccess remains suspended until Wednesday.

D.C. Circulator: Service resumes 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Amtrak — Most Amtrak service in the Northeast remains suspended on Tuesday.

MARC train service — Canceled for Tuesday.

VRE train service — Canceled Tuesday.

D.C. Taxis — The $15 additional fee on taxi rides expires at noon Tuesday.

Greyhound — All service in and out of the District and Baltimore, Norfolk, Silver Spring and Ocean City canceled.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge — The Bay Bridge has been reopened to both eastbound and westbound traffic. The Tydings bridge is open on I-95.

Parking enforcement in D.C. — Suspended Monday and Tuesday.

Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration offices and emission inspection stations — Closed Tuesday.

Car2Go, the car-sharing service, suspended service at 7 p.m. Monday. Service will resume “when weather conditions allow.”

Capital Bikeshare — Closed through Tuesday.

Alexandria public transportation services — Closed Tuesday.

Arlington Transit (ART) — Canceled Tuesday.

City of Fairfax CUE Bus service — Canceled through Tuesday morning; modified weekday service begins at close to 2 pm as possible.

Loudoun County Commuter Bus Service and Tysons Express Bus Service — Canceled on Tuesday.

Virginia Regional Transit will resume all transit services at 1 p.m. Tuesday

Montgomery County Ride On service — Will not resume Tuesday.

Montgomery County Parking Garages – Open (no charge). Meters are also no charge.

Airports — Many flights canceled coming into and going out of Washington. Check airlines.

Tourist and other public sites:

The U.S. Capitol and the Capitol Visitor Center — Closed Tuesday. All tours of the Capitol have been suspended.

Smithsonian — All Smithsonian museums in Washington and New York will be closed on Tuesday. Will reopen Wednesday.

National Zoo — Closed Tuesday. Will reopen Wednesday.

Montgomery Parks – Facilities closed and classes and programs canceled on Tuesday.

Stores:

Virginia ABC Stores closed at 2:30 p.m. Monday. ABC will monitor conditions Tuesday.
