If you’re trying to make it big in entertainment and your parent is more famous than God, you probably don’t want people to think you got the part because of your famous mother or father. So just imagine how Paris Jackson must feel as she tries to make a name for herself in Hollywood. Paris has allegedly set off yet another controversy with the Jackson family as she is not happy with being labeled “Michael Jackson’s daughter,” and wants to prove her talent beyond her family connections.
She recently told Glamour magazine:
“I just don’t think the title ‘M.J.’s daughter’ fits me.”
“A lot of people think he’s the only reason I’m making it, but I want to show that I do have talent and that I can make it if I try. I want to be my own person.”
Apparently her comments did not sit well with her family and they’re threatening to send Paris to boarding school as she doesn’t want to be associated with her legendary father.
“Paris is ungrateful and disrespectful to her father’s legacy, and she’s completely delusional to think she would be famous if she wasn’t Michael’s daughter,” a source told the National Enquirer.
“Even her grandmother Katherine, her biggest supporter, was taken aback by her harsh comments.”
Is that so wrong? Why wouldn’t Paris want to step out from her famous father’s shadow?
