Michelle Obama’s fashion selections for the 2012 DNC remind me of lyrics from one of my favorite Jay-Z songs: “Grand opening, grand closing”. The First Lady went hard out the gate in a custom Tracy Reese dress. While I’ve been unable to find out the designer of the dress Michelle wore for the President’s convention speech, there is no question that she finished strong. The beautiful, eggplant and white printed dress with full skirt and bandeau neckline was accented by an Alexis Bittar pendant. True to form, the FLOTUS’s look was classy and feminine yet bucked tradition. There’s something to be said for a woman that goes her own way!
