The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) has kicked off its free Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) program. More than 2,000 children in third through eighth grade are encouraged to participate. SEEK’s mission is to build a pipeline to engineering careers for African-American and other minority youth who are underrepresented in the field. SEEK offers a hands-on engineering design curriculum provided by NSBE’s partner in the program, SAE International (the Society of Automotive Engineers).

The SEEK students, in the third through eighth grades this year, learn basic science and engineering concepts and engage in team competitions during the three-week summer day camps.Fore more information, contact 703.549.2207 (ext. 453)
