This Saturday, FraserNet, Inc. and The Empowerment Experiment will team up with black business advocates to “cash mob” small Black businesses.
In the same practice of “flash mobbing,” nationally renowned entrepreneur George Fraser, CEO of FraserNET and Maggie Anderson, CEO of The Empowerment Experiment host their first “cash mob” on Saturday, May 19 to promote the support of local, black-owned businesses.
In honor of Malcolm X’s 87th birthday, Cash Mob (Noir) serves to show the economic value and benefit of spending money within Black community.
Participants in Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C./Prince George’s County, MD. will spend at least $20 at local black businesses between 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
“Our goal is to double or triple the business that that small business would normally do on a Saturday during that period of time,” said Fraser.
