DC police continue to investigate the death of an abandoned infant. The African-American girl, less than one week old and wrapped in a towel, was left on a doorstep in the freezing cold in the 3000 block of Channing Street in Northeast. A passerby made the discovery late Sunday night. Police are asking anyone with information about the mother to contact DC detectives.
