(Columbia, MD) — A senior citizen is recovering after she was rescued from her car in her own swimming pool. Howard County Fire and Rescue believes the woman lost control of her car and went down a steep embankment into the backyard pool. When rescuers arrived at the Columbia home early Saturday morning, she was chest-deep in the water, still in her car. Officials say a medical emergency may have caused the accident.
