Heavy rain is heading our way and the Washington area is preparing for the potential of flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for DC and surrounding areas from this evening through tomorrow night. Forecasters say some areas could see as much as three inches of rain. Flooding could occur, especially in low lying areas. Area residents are being urged to take proper precautions.
